Amigaweb development

Amigaweb is still under development as everyone have probably noticed.

If you have any bug reports, you can report them in this thread. Suggestions are also welcome. nuts

At the moment I am working on the submit news feature to allow registered users to post news for Amigaweb. cool

If you have problems registering, or don't receive the confirmation mail, you can report this to the following mail address:

First of all, congratulations to "Submit News" feature!

Would it be possible to adjust the width of the site according to my screenmode? I mean I use 1280x800 and the whole site is shifted to the left.

Next, the "AmigaWeb" graphics on the top of the page looks like I visited some cemetery page or something, you know.

The site is modeled after many popular Norwegian news sites.

I've never been so keen about stretching pages as I want it to look the same on all systems. We also want to do things a bit different then the other Amiga sites. We can't all be the same biggrin

The logo I guess we can do something about, but I'm not to skilled with graphics myself. If anyone want to send in a new logo with better graphics it would be appreciated. smile

I will try to get this functionality improved as soon as possible. I have to much other work to do at the moment.

It will be possible to change the forum avatar, and it will be possible to use other proportions than 3:4, when I get the time to correct it biggrin

It is now possible to change the avatar image from the user block. It's now possible to use images with other aspects, but the width of the image is limited to 125px for the forum avatar cool

I am using Firefox 1.5 on OS X and noticed a few things, the "last post" date is actually the date of the first post in the forum, and I can't seem to get the smileys to work, I click on them but they do not appear in the post

That is all :)

Hm... can't see that the dates are wrong... As for the smilies I'm not sure why they won't work... I'll have to look into that...

Check it out, they work in Opera :-D

Just a little complaint about the font used on amigaweb
I find the font very ugly and i have made a few comparisons for you to see using a few of the nicer ones i could find..

Current font...

Amigaweb using Arial...

Amigaweb using Verdana...

Amigaweb using Tahoma...

My preference would be Arial, Tahoma and then Verdana :)
